The 27-year-old man had reportedly locked the minor at his house in Gatundu, Kiambu County, for a whole week where he was allegedly raping her on a daily basis.
According to one of the residents, Simon Waithaka, the girl had been reported missing by her family after she failed to return home from school last week.
"Police tracked the girl using her mobile phone and found her locked up in the suspects house in Gatundu," The Star quoted Waithaka.
The young girl, who had been chatting with the man, is said to have been enjoying financial favours from the accused.
"The person who pretended to be a very rich man sent some cash for the girl's transport and personal effects." Waithaka added referring to the alleged rapist.
Police stated that the schoolgirl had been taken to hospital, while the man was being held at Engineer police station. He is set to face charges of defilement and abduction.
